CDP Metadata

Programmatic access to target Cloud Data Platform metadata, including database type and default database.

This Data Productivity Cloud pipeline uses dbt core to acquire target Cloud Data Platform metadata, including:

  • CDP type: e.g. snowflake, databricks or redshift
  • dbt version
  • identity in the target database
  • default database (or catalog for Databricks)
  • default schema (not available for Amazon Redshift)

The values are stored in pipeline variables for programmatic use downstream.
